SugarCRM’s Sprint Week is an intense week-long hackathon where UX, PM and Engineering teams collaborate to brainstorm, prototype, and develop solutions. It’s all about sparking creativity, rapid iteration, and teamwork under tight deadlines. Many of Sugar’s most innovative features began as Sprint Week projects.

I developed a Figma prototype of a Theme Builder concept for the Sugar Modernization project. Sprint Week seemed like a great opportunity to explore turning it into a fully coded product.
I then shared an updated prototype with the engineers to gauge their interest in taking on the project.

The engineers hit the ground running, and I managed the project from start to finish, coordinating with teams from 🇷🇴 Bucharest to ☔️ Seattle. They did an incredible job, even implementing an AI text-to-image generator and incorporating a more easily accessible light/dark mode switcher. I presented the demo at Sprint Week—and we won!
